Manage disk usage

It is critical that sufficient disk space is available on the server to store data files and avoid data loss. If needed, it is important to have a strategy that periodically monitors disk space and archives or deletes data to allow for storage of new data files.

To avoid data loss and ensure that sufficient disk space is available on the server, an administrator can configure Torrent Suite™ Software to automatically archive and delete sequencing data that are no longer needed. An administrator can also manually archive or delete data from individual run reports or groups of reports, or export selected data to a mounted external drive. To understand how disk space is allocated and how files are managed, you can view disk usage, active data management jobs, statistics, and detailed logs on each of these activities.
